What Goodsy Publisher is
Goodsy Publisher is an internal tool that publishes our own brands' approved videos and captions to our own social media accounts. Only members of our team use it, and only to manage accounts that we own.
Information we access
When a team member connects one of our own accounts, the platform gives the tool an access token for that account. With it, the tool:
- uploads and publishes our own videos and captions;
- reads back basic details of the posts it published (such as the post's ID, link, status and publish time) to confirm they went live; and
- reads the connected account's own ID and name, to check it is posting to the right account.
The tool does not read, collect or store information about other people. It does not access followers' profiles, comments, likes, direct messages, contact lists or any other personal information of people who interact with our accounts.
How we store it
Access tokens are stored on our own computer, in a file only our own user account can read, on an encrypted disk, outside any public system. They are used only to publish to the account they belong to. Post IDs and links are kept in our internal publishing log.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share data obtained through the platforms' APIs with anyone.
Retention and deletion
We keep an access token only while the account stays connected. Disconnecting the tool in the platform's settings revokes it, and we delete our stored copy. See data deletion for how to ask us to delete anything.
